Hello, gentle readers!
Apologies for my absence – you see, I have made some changes in my life. And by that I mean that I have gotten an honest-to-goodness, 9 to 5 (well, 10 to 6. Well, 10 to 7, really, and last night, 10 to 9:30) office job. And while I am really enjoying the possibilities of this, this first month has been a real adjustment (and a necessary one – I was getting mighty comfortable with my ample hulu-watching time)
Yesterday, I had my toughest day yet, the day when I realized that my brain would have to hurry up and grow some new synapses to adapt (this really happens! I read about it in a book called ‘the barmaid’s brain’ – brains will adjust their short-term memory capabilities to adjust to the requirements of repetitive tasks, a la remembering the drink orders of twenty people at a time if you’re a barmaid at Oktoberfest. Or, hopefully, an assistant at a casting office with a spreadsheet of hundreds of names to remember the details of). But at a moment of lowness, my most awesome friend Olli sent the following inspiration. It first made me laugh, and then actually really did inspire me to push through, and I hope it does the same for you:
Go. Kick ass. The wolf tells you to.
Awesome article post.Really thank you! Really Cool.
